Facial cleansers can be a tricky thing. There are cleansers for normal skin, oily skin, acne prone skin, sensitive skin, old skin and even young skin. Then, there are the make-up removers (which I have to admit I thought was included in the whole "cleanser" package). There are eye make-up removers, facial make-up removers, oil based removers, and water based removers. Its like maneuvering a hedge maze.
Several years ago I came across what I consider the BEST facial cleanser/make-up remover ever made. It is good for all skin types, all ages, women or men, and you can even use it to take off your eye make-up. This little bottle of cleanser perfection? Purity, by Philosophy.
I order from QVC.com, but you can also find it at Sephora or Philosophy.com

Favorite Friday: Brown Rice Chips and Guacamole
These are my most favorite tortilla style chips. They come in a lot of flavors, but I'm partial to the Sea Salt flavor because I can dip them in anything (anything healthy that is)!
You can probably find these chips anywhere. I get them at Walmart. Even my kids love them! Below you can see the ingredients and the nutritional information.
I always have a few avocados on hand to make guacamole, but you want to be careful with portion control. Avocados are loaded with good for you goodies, but they are also high in fat and although it is the good fat you still have to be careful with your portion sizes. If I'm in a hurry I just toss in a packet of McCormick's Guacamole seasoning. If I have time I make Guacamole with fresh ingredients. I have also been known to just eat avocado plain...
Enjoy!!

Favorite Friday: Fragrance
I have a high sensitivity to fragrance, most anything can give me a migraine instantaneously but Philosophy's fragrances are different. They are not meant to be smelled by everyone in a crowded elevator, just by those that are standing shoulder to shoulder with you. And what they smell isn't strong or offensive, it is very light and most of the time, they don't even realize its perfume... they just think you smell really good! I like all of their fragrances, but my absolute favorite is Falling in Love...

The front of the bottle says,
"Falling in love doesn't begin with falling in love with others. It begins with falling in love with ourselves. Loving ourselves is healthy and as God intended. Learn to deeply and fully cherish your heart, your soul and your body and only then will you understand what it is to truly love another."
I am a huge fan of QVC.com because they offer most of my favorite things at really good prices!! That is where I buy my fragrance. Philosophy has their own website too: www.Philosophy.com

Favorite Friday: Fruit Infusing Water Pitcher
In case you didn't catch it on the video, I purchased this from QVC.com. Here is a direct link for the pitcher. Check back soon for a list of infusion possibilities!
Also, Jacob took the video for me. I think he did a pretty good job, but next time I will probably force my husband to do it or use a tripod... Live and learn!

Favorite Friday -- The Bodybugg
If you have read any of my latest blog posts you know without a doubt that I am a huge fan of Chalene Johnson. The woman has helped me lose over 30 pounds this last year. And, if that wasn't enough the woman inspires me every day to do more, be more, and love more. She has it going on and then some. So, when she talks, I listen.
A while back I read a post on her blog about some snazzy little device she was wearing on her arm. It was a watch, calorie burning tracker and pedometer. With it you gained access to a website where you can input your calorie intake and then upload the information it recorded during the time you wore it. The website then put it into graphs and charts (so easy to read) that allowed you to see what you burned compared to what you took in and how that would affect your weight loss. So Cool!!
The snazzy little gadget? The Bodybugg.
I ordered one for my birthday and since then I have worn it most everyday. I have on occasion forgotten to take it off and charge it so I've missed a bit of time here and there, but I love it. I love being able to check it during the day and see how many calories I've burned, how many steps I've taken, how many calories I'm burning per minute right then! It is especially great when I'm in the middle of my workouts because just by glancing at the digital display I can see if I need to step it up to reach my calorie burning goal or if I can bring the intensity down a little. It also lets me know at the end of the day if I've reached my calorie burn goal for the day. If not, another workout is in order or a slightly smaller dinner or a evening walk with the boys.
Chalene just posted this video with her thoughts about the Bodybugg on her blog. I wanted to share what a fitness "professional" thought about it with you. Oh yeah, and all the contestants on The Biggest Loser wear one at all times. And you've seen their results!
If you want purchase the Bodybugg go here

Favorite Friday!!
Alright, so it is almost 9pm and I am just getting to my Friday post, but PEOPLE... I am getting to my Friday Post!! This is huge!!
So this week I am going to tell you about one of the finest pieces of technology I've ever had..... THE BLACKBERRY TOUR.
Now I have to admit that I had wanted one for quite a long time, but as a stay at home mom it just didn't seem like it was worth the expense. I mean, what did I have to remember other than to take my oldest child to school everyday and the occasional doctors appointment. And as far as needing to check my e-mail, well, I was at home, with the computer. So although I wanted one, I didn't get one. But, once I went back to work I found that I was forgetting EVERYTHING! I was carrying around my day planner, but it didn't beep and send me a reminder. And now that I am in school, and occasionally working, and making dates with friends and family, and having assigments due and e-mails to read, and please, do I even need to mention the TEXTING I decided to go ahead and get one. Especially after seeing my sisters and what it could do.
I can chat with my sister via Text all the livelongday, I can get e-mail from my parents while they are in Florida, I get to see who is tweeting me and what they are tweeting about. I can check my friends blogs no matter where I am. I even get Facebook on my phone. Not to mention the calendar feature which has saved myself from forgotten appointments I don't know how many times. Or the task list, a personal favorite. It allows you to set a due date for your projects and reminds me when they are almost due. It has a memo pad which is where I keep my grocery lists, my yearly goals, a list of books I want to read. And, it fits in my pocket or my purse.
Obviously it is one of my favorite things. I am sure that other smart phones have similar features and some of them might even be better than what Blackberry has to offer. But I love the Blackberry Tour.
Do you have a smart phone you'd like to share about, blog about it and leave me a note in the comments. I will definitely check it out. Everyone has favorites, I'm sharing mine and I want to know yours.

Favorite Friday's
I've been wanting to update my blog for a while, change it to fit who I have become and to spice it up a little bit. I think I was bored with the old one.... I'm a girl that likes change, what can I say. As part of the whole changing of the blog thing I decided to start Favorite Friday (at least that's what I'm calling it, obviously snappy titles are not my forte). Basically I am going to highlight one thing a week that I use regulary that I love. It might be hairspray, toenail polish, my camera, whatever... Just something that I think makes my life a little easier or works a little better, or in the case of 4 inch heels... makes my calves appear skinnier. It is just going to be a little something fun. And, hopefully, it will guarantee at least one new post a week!
